Mobile billboards banned in LA but not Team Cycad
Posted on March 8th, 2012.
The latest news in the Mobile Billboard and Advertising world is that it will now be illegal to leave billboards and advertisements attached to vehicles parked on city streets and public land.
Under a city ordinance unanimously approved today by the Los Angeles City Council, first time offenders will receive a 24 hour warning before their advertisements are removed by city crews.
Luckily for Team Cycad, this does not apply. Team Cycad is not powered by engines and prides itself on being an environmentally friendly (‘green’) form of adverting and NEVER leaves billboards parked or unattended. Also, Team Cycad will NEVER be caught with the absolutely horrible artwork seen here, on the now illegal, parked mobile billboards – click here (provided by ABC7 in LA).
The Team Cycad team is relieved that this type of reckless and ugly advertising is now illegal, opening the way for Team Cycad to attract the attention it deserves with green, sexy, compelling and unique artwork on muscle powered, mobile billboards.
Thank you, LA.
